Piping Material Engineer – Oil & Gas | Full Remote
We are looking for a Piping Material Engineer with at least 7 years of experience in the Oil & Gas sector, responsible for piping material specifications, technical documentation and material engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.
1. Your Role
- Work as a Piping Material Engineer on Oil & Gas EPC projects, supporting piping engineering activities from design through procurement.
- Define and manage piping material requirements in accordance with project specifications, international codes and client standards.
- Interface with Piping, Process, Mechanical, Procurement and other engineering disciplines.
- Support technical coordination with vendors and suppliers for piping materials and components.
2. Your Responsibilities
- Prepare, review and update Piping Material Specifications, piping classes, material requisitions, datasheets and related technical documentation.
- Perform technical evaluations of piping components, valves, fittings, flanges, gaskets and bolting, ensuring compliance with project requirements and applicable codes.
- Prepare and review MTOs, BOMs and technical bid evaluations (TBE), supporting Procurement during vendor clarification and purchasing activities.
- Manage piping material data and specifications using PUMA software, ensuring consistency between engineering documentation, material classes and project requirements.
3. Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering,
Materials Engineering or a related technical discipline, with at least 7 years of experience as a Piping Material Engineer in the Oil & Gas sector.
- Strong knowledge of piping materials, piping classes, material selection and relevant international standards and codes, including ASME, ASTM and API.
- Proven experience with PUMA software and preparation/review of piping material specifications, MTO/BOM, material requisitions and TBE.
- Professional English proficiency and ability to work independently within multidisciplinary and international engineering teams.

Compensation The salary range for this position is €50,000–€60,000 gross per year.

Positioning within the stated range will be determined based on technical skills, specific experience in the role and the outcome of the selection process, according to objective and neutral criteria.
For candidates whose qualifications significantly exceed the requirements associated with the indicated range, a salary review may be considered subject to internal approval.
