NETWORK & SECURITY ENGINEER – PALO ALTO & CISCO
Location: Hybrid – Milan, Italy (~3 monthly office visits - Cinisello Balsamo)
Salary:€45,000–€56,000 + 10% Discretionary Premio + 25 Holiday Days/Year
Type: Full-Time | PermanentWe're looking for an experiencedNetwork & Security Engineerto join the IT Infrastructure team, supporting enterprise network services across the organisation's European locations.
The role combineshands-on network administration, Cisco routing & switching, and network security , with a strong focus onPalo Alto Firewalls and Panorama.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide2nd Line supportfor network infrastructure incidents, ensuring issues are resolved within SLA
Manage, configure and support enterpriseLAN, WAN and SD-WANenvironments
Configure and administerPalo Alto Firewalls and Panorama
Design, deploy and supportnetwork appliances, routers, switches and load balancers
SupportCisco routing and switchinginfrastructure
Configure and troubleshootBGP, OSPF, route maps, ACLs, route redistribution, path selection and traffic engineering
SupportMPLS, VPN, Internet connectivity and network access
Support and maintaincorporate Wi Fi infrastructure
Participate inProblem Managementand infrastructure change management processes
Support network infrastructure projects and ensure on-time delivery
Maintain technical documentation coveringnetwork designs, configurations and troubleshooting procedures
Identify network security risks and ensure appropriate security controls are in place
Identify opportunities to improve network processes, reliability and efficiencyMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
3+ years' experience in Network Administration / Network Engineering
Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls & Panorama – ESSENTIAL
Strong Cisco Routing & Switching experienceacross enterprise routers, switches and network appliances
Strong understanding ofLAN/WAN/SD-WAN design and architecture , with experience acrossBGP, OSPF, route maps, ACLs, route redistribution, path selection and traffic engineering
Experience withMPLS, VPNs, network connectivity, Internet access and enterprise Wi Fi/wireless environments
Highly Desirable: CCNA, CCNP or Comp TIA Network+or similar certifications
