Overview
In this role you will lead the Electrical & Special Systems Design Team within AVL Italia, guiding project activities and ensuring alignment with engineering standards. You will shape electrical designs for engine and vehicle testing facilities and deliver technical documentation and diagrams. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives, manage resources, and uphold quality and compliance. This is a chance to drive critical electrical systems work at scale in a sustainability-focused engineering environment.
Responsabilità
- Lead and manage the Electrical & Special Systems Design Team
- Coordinate project activities and ensure alignment with project objectives
- Monitor project progress, timelines, and resource planning
- Ensure proper implementation of internal processes and engineering standards
- Design electrical and special systems for engine and vehicle testing facilities
- Prepare technical documentation (reports, specifications, tender documents, cost estimates)
- Develop electrical single-line diagrams
- Produce layout drawings and system plans
- Perform calculations and system sizing
Requisiti fondamentali
- Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial plant/electrical system design
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Diploma as an Electrical Technician
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Solid understanding of relevant standards and regulations (Low Voltage, EMC, Machinery Directive, ATEX)
- Availability for short business trips within Italy and occasional international travel
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
- Dynamic mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
- English language knowledge (from good to advanced)
