Lead AUTOSAR Software Engineer | Torino, Italy (Onsite) Location: Torino, Italy Work Model: Onsite (5 Days/Week) Employment Type: B2B/Freelance Language: Fluent English Required, Italian Are you an experienced AUTOSAR professional looking to work on cutting-edge automotive software platforms? We are seeking a Lead AUTOSAR Software Engineer to support VHIL labs, production, and pre-production environments, ensuring system readiness and seamless vehicle integration.
Key Responsibilities Debug and resolve embedded software issues across production, plant, and VHIL environments Support bring-up and troubleshooting of Bootloaders, AUTOSAR OS, HWIO, COM, DCM, and MEM stacks Work with Automotive Ethernet and SOME/IP communication protocols Support diagnostic flashing processes including UDS and DoIP-based workflows Collaborate with FOTA teams on OTA updates, campaign execution, rollback handling, and issue resolution Develop tools and scripts for automated logging, debugging, and flashing activities Ensure diagnostic coverage across UDS, DoIP, SOME/IP, and OBD-II protocols Drive root cause analysis with Base Software, Integration, Connectivity, Infotainment, and Plant teams Document findings,
solutions, and best practices to support continuous improvement Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 5 years of experience in Embedded Software Development using C/C++
- Strong expertise in Classic AUTOSAR architecture and specifications
- Experience with AUTOSAR BSW configuration and integration (OS, COM, DIAG, MEM)
- Hands-on experience with MCAL configuration and Hardware Abstraction Layer development
- Knowledge of Multicore Architectures and Functional Safety concepts
- Understanding of Cybersecurity, HSM configuration, and Message Authentication
- Experience with Compilers, Debuggers, Emulators, and Embedded Development Tools
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills in global engineering environments Preferred Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline Advanced hands-on experience in Embedded Software and AUTOSAR integration Interested?
