We’re looking for a Junior Frontend / Full Stack Developer with strong React and TypeScript fundamentals who is interested in expanding their skills into backend development.
You’ll contribute to both new and existing web applications, working primarily on the frontend while gradually developing the skills to build features across the full stack.
Previous professional Python backend experience is not required . We’re looking for someone with a strong frontend foundation who is curious about the backend and wants to understand how complete features are designed and built.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Develop modern web interfaces using React and TypeScript
- Build new features for both new and existing applications
- Gradually take ownership of features across the full stack, from the database and API to the user interface
- Learn and contribute to our Python-based backend
- Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs
- Work with relational databases and data-driven interfaces
- Debug, test and improve existing functionality
- Participate in code reviews and work closely with experienced developers
- Collaborate with an international development team
REQUIREMENTS
- 1–2 years of experience building web applications with React and TypeScript — internships and freelance projects count if the work is real and demonstrable
- Good understanding of modern React development and component-based application architecture
- Experience working with a real backend API and understanding of HTTP fundamentals such as methods, status codes, JSON payloads, authentication and CORS
- Basic SQL knowledge, including SELECTs, JOINs and an understanding of foreign keys
- Genuine interest in working across the stack and developing backend skills
- Comfortable working with Git, branches, pull requests and code reviews
- Professional written English
NICE TO HAVE
- Any experience with Python, including scripts, coursework, data projects or web development
- Experience with any server-side web framework
- Experience with modern React frameworks
- Understanding of database concepts such as migrations, indexes, normalisation or ORMs
- Experience working with relational databases
- Experience building data-heavy applications or complex data interfaces
- Basic knowledge of containers and modern deployment workflows
