Merkle, a dentsu tech agency, is a leading data-driven customer experience management (CXM) company that specializes in the delivery of unique, personalized customer experiences across platforms and devices, such as one of the two leading Company in the last Forrester Wawe in CXM Area. We have an internship opportunity in Data Visualization team for our office in Milan. : Key responsibilities: as a member of the Data Visualization Team you will be trained to:
- develop attractive and innovative dashboards interacting with external and internal clients to satisfy their needs
- discover and collect data from heterogeneous data sources, understanding their value and map them to the target/common data model
- identify & define key business metrics and KPIs in partnership with business stakeholders
- use different technologies to transform data sets, quantitative and qualitative analysis into compelling user-centric visuals & dashboards that empower data driven insights & decision-making capability
- apply best practices in data visualization design & continuously improve upon intuitive user experience for business stakeholders.
- work with data engineers to productionize data pipelines and automate reports generation & distribution
- help final users with tools adoption and active listening to identify new business opportunities
- use problem solving and strategic thinking to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
- Data-oriented personality and quantitative thinking
- Basic experience and/or knowledge of Data Visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Datorama), certification is a plus
- Basic ability to use SQL and other Database (NO-SQL) to explore, analyze and validate heterogeneous data sources
- Basic knowledge of data warehousing concepts (ETL, Stage/Core layer, Dimensional Modelling, Data Marts etc.) and SQL programming
- Interest in UX design, such as layout, typography, color, interaction design using Creative thinking
- Passionate for learning and willingness to adopt and share new ideas
- Self-motivation, proactivity, and ability to work independently adopting problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent English, written and spoken;
Plus
- Interest in areas of Digital Marketing (AdTech, MarTech), Marketing Automation, CRM or e-commerce
- Knowledge of scripting languages (R and Python) and ETL process, data modeling techniques & big data platforms (Hadoop, Spark, GCP, etc)
