And that’s where you come in.Job Description:Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self motivated Civil Work & Trackwork Engineer to contribute to the design, analysis, and implementation of railway infrastructure projects. This role involves ensuring the structural integrity, safety, and constructability of various civil and structural components within our complex rail systems.
The position is based in Naples, Italy. Accountabilities* Perform structural analysis and design calculations for railway infrastructure elements such as bridges, tunnels, retaining walls, foundations, and station structures, adhering to relevant codes and standards (e.g., AREMA, AASHTO, AISC, ACI).* Develop and review engineering drawings, specifications, and reports for civil and structural components, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.* Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams (e.g., track, signaling, power) to integrate structural designs seamlessly into overall rail system projects.* Conduct site investigations, surveys, and inspections to assess existing conditions, evaluate constructability, and monitor progress during the construction phase.* Identify and mitigate potential risks related to civil and structural aspects of projects, proposing innovative and cost-effecti
