JOB TITLE: Salesforce Architect, Administrator and Developer

DURATION: 11 months

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:

The World Food Programme (WFP) is the world's largest humanitarian agency, working towards achieving a world with zero hunger. We are seeking to fill the position of Salesforce Architect, Administrator and Developer, based in the TEC Division (TECD) at our Headquarters in Rome, Italy.

WFP relies entirely on voluntary contributions to finance its projects. Relationships with fundraising partners from the public sector are pivotal in supporting WFP projects in all the countries where we work; saving lives and reducing hunger across the globe. WFP uses Salesforce (SF) as its donor relationship system and a Salesforce Administrator and Developer is needed to support with the management of the system.

The newly established (January 2026) CRM Competence Centre in TECD, is responsible for the design, implementation and operations of the WFP CRM digital solutions to include the above mentioned Salesforce CRM, but also all the other systems in use with Monitoring, RMD, and other functions

ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Work with the CRM CC Manager and CRM/Salesforce Team to support the management of Salesforce and other CRM platforms and ensure that it is tailored to meet the information needs specific to WFP’s engagement with partners.

2.Provide advanced support capabilities (e.g. debug and resolve complex platform issues)

3.Develop enhancements and deploy globally, following prescribed release processes, including functionality changes; create flows, apex, triggers and validation rules; customise objects, fields record types and page layouts; and,



support the management of the entire back end of the system to ensure processes are automated where possible and that the system streamlines working efforts for all WFP offices.

4.Support the management of the software testing process, which includes creating test cases, establishing protocols and using appropriate testing environments.

5.Support the management of the user and role hierarchy that facilitates over 2000 users from over 100 offices to have varying levels of accessibility to many records within the system.

6.Support with the production and maintenance of the written technical guidance of the system and the SOPs for managing the system.

7.Support ongoing reviews of system security within TEC and ensure adherence to WFP information security and data privacy policies as well as other TEC security standards.

8.Support the technical side of integrations between Salesforce and other WFP systems, in collaboration with the other TEC branches and other divisions.

9.Seek ongoing enhancement of WFP's CRM services and keep informed about updates, improvements and extensions that would agevolazioni WFP’s use of the tool.

10.Complete ad-hoc tasks related to the management of CRM services as required

DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT:

•Salesforce solution architecture baseline and target-state design maintained, including system context, data model, integration landscape, security model, key design decisions and a prioritized technical roadmap approved by the TEC Division and socialized with the stakeholders.

•Agreed Salesforce enhancements and technical solutions designed, configured, developed and deployed through the established release-management process, using scalable and maintainable configuration, Flow, Apex, Lightning components, validation rules and related platform capabilities.

•Priority integrations between Salesforce and relevant WFP systems implemented or improved, with interface specifications, API mappings, error-handling and monitoring arrangements documented and validated with the responsible TEC teams.

•Testing and release-assurance package completed for delivered changes, including test plans and cases, automated test coverage where applicable, defect records, deployment and rollback procedures, release notes and evidence of successful validation in the appropriate environments.

•Salesforce security, access and data-protection controls reviewed and strengthened, including roles, profiles, permission sets and groups, sharing rules, privileged access and relevant audit findings, with agreed remediation actions completed or transferred to an approved action plan.

•Platform administration and advanced support delivered within agreed service priorities, with complex incidents and problems analysed and resolved, recurring causes addressed, technical debt recorded and platform health, performance and capacity recommendations provided.

•Current technical and operational documentation delivered and stored in the designated WFP repository, including architecture and configuration documentation, source-code documentation, integration runbooks, deployment procedures, support guides, standard operating procedures and troubleshooting guidance.

•Knowledge transfer and orderly handover completed for CRM Competence Centre personnel, including walkthroughs and practical sessions, transfer of relevant repositories and credentials through approved channels, a consolidated backlog and risk register, and an end-of-assignment report summarizing achievements, outstanding actions and recommendations.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Education

Undergraduate level university degree in IT, Computer Sciences,



Information Management, International Development, Business Administration, Social Sciences or other related fields.

Experience

Must be a certified Salesforce Administrator and certified Salesforce Platform Developer II.

Desirable: Certified Salesforce Application Architect.

Must be familiar with managing and customising the following: Custom objects, workflow rules, validation rules, flows, apex, triggers, working between production and sandboxes, lightning pages, visualforce pages, basic html, APIs, permission sets and groups.

Must have at least 3 years of relevant work experience, as a Salesforce developer or admin, ideally in the context of a large international organisation.

Must have experience of architecting and developing complex and integrated technology solutions in the Salesforce platform.

Knowledge & Skills:

An understanding of how technology can optimize the work of often geographically distributed groups and teams.

Familiarity with an international working environment.

Languages

Fluency (level C) in English language. Knowledge of Spanish, French or Arabic a strong asset.
