Overview
As a Clinical Field Service Engineer, you install, maintain and repair Waters LC-MS systems in regulated clinical labs, solving technical issues and building trusted customer partnerships. You will work field-based, traveling as needed, with a focus on timely service delivery and quality. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and receive ongoing technical training to grow your expertise.
This role supports Waters’ mission to enable high-quality diagnostic testing and better patient outcomes through innovative analytical technology.
Responsabilità
- Install, qualify, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair Waters LC-MS systems in clinical labs
- Analyze performance and diagnostic data to identify root causes and corrective actions
- Collaborate with technical and support teams; escalate complex issues as needed
- Manage customer expectations and communicate work performed with follow-up plans
- Complete service records and documentation per quality/regulatory procedures
- Build strong customer relationships and advise on Waters products and services
- Engage in comprehensive technical training and continuous development opportunities
Requisiti fondamentali
- Bachelor in analytical chemistry, biology, physics, engineering (minimum)
- Practical experience with complex analytical or laboratory instrumentation
- Strong technical aptitude across mechanical, electrical, fluidic and software domains
- Experience maintaining, calibrating or troubleshooting instrumentation (advantageous)
- Experience with LC-MS instrumentation (preferably Waters) (strongly preferred)
- Experience in a clinical, forensic, hospital, IVD or regulated lab environment (advantageous)
- Valid driving licence; willingness for overnight/international travel for training
- Strong customer focus, analytical problem-solving, and effective communication across backgrounds
- Independent work capability with good time management and organizational skills
- Fluency in Italian and professional English (CEFR B2), with training in English
