Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Hardware Data Management Engineer to support the management, quality, and lifecycle of electronic component data across our hardware development organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining component databases, supporting engineering teams with component selection and qualification activities, performing BOM analysis, and ensuring data integrity within PLM systems such as Teamcenter.
This role requires a strong understanding of electronic components, product lifecycle management processes,
and database governance practices to ensure accurate and reliable engineering data throughout the product development lifecycle.
Activity
- Manage and maintain component data within Teamcenter and corporate component databases.
- Perform database clean-up, standardization, and maintenance activities to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company standards.
- Review, analyze, and validate Bills of Materials (BOMs) to support engineering, procurement, and manufacturing requirements.
- Support electronic component selection, qualification, and approval processes for new product development projects.
- Evaluate and recommend alternate components based on technical, supply chain, cost, and lifecycle considerations.
- Drive component engineering activities, including part creation, classification, attribute management, and documentation.
- Monitor component lifecycle status, obsolescence risks, and end-of-life notifications, proposing mitigation strategies when needed.
