KEY2 DATASYN is looking for a mid-level Data Engineer with solid experience on Google Cloud Platform , specifically Google BigQuery , and skills in Machine Learning and Vertex AI .
The candidate will work closely with data scientists, data analysts, and business stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions geared toward advanced analytics and AI.
Fluency in Italian and good knowledge of English, used in functional and technical contexts, are required.
Responsibility:
- - Design, develop, and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) pipelines on Google Cloud Platform
- - Model and optimize datasets and data warehouses on Google BigQuery, ensuring performance, scalability and data quality
- - Collaborate with data scientists to support machine learning use cases, from data preparation to model deployment in production
- - Use Vertex AI for training, validating, deploying, and monitoring ML models
- - Implement data quality, data governance, and security controls
- - Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- - Contribute to the technical documentation and continuous improvement of data architectures
- - Support troubleshooting and optimization activities of existing flows
Technical Skills:
- - Experience on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- - Excellent knowledge of Google BigQuery (advanced SQL queries, cost and performance optimization)
- - Experience designing data pipelines and cloud-native data architectures
- - Knowledge of Machine Learning fundamentals (feature engineering, training, validation)
- - Hands-on experience with Vertex AI
- - Good command of SQL
- - Knowledge of Python for data engineering and ML
- - Familiarity with data warehouse, data lake, and data modeling concepts
We welcome:
- - Experience with Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions or Cloud Composer (Airflow)
- - Knowledge of CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) tools
- - Experience with containers (Docker)
- - Knowledge of BI and analytics tools
- - Google Cloud Certifications (e.g., Professional Data Engineer)
