ph3PURCHASING MANAGER /h3 pbWe are looking for a PURCHASING MANAGER /b /p pbPosition Purpose and Objectives /b /p pThe Purchasing Manager is responsible for ensuring the continuous supply of the materials and services required for production and for the smooth operation of the company. The role focuses on the strategic management of procurement activities, including supplier selection, negotiation of commercial terms, and management of the product/item database, with the aim of optimizing company resources. The Purchasing Manager also provides support to Project Managers (PMs) in selecting suppliers and materials according to specific customer requirements. /p pbMain Responsibilities /b /p p1. Procurement Management /p ul liResearch and select suppliers, negotiating commercial, financial, and logistics terms /li liMonitor supplier quality and manage supplier relationships to ensure compliance with specifications /li liOptimize purchasing activities according to production planning, reducing waste and costs /li liNegotiate purchasing terms to achieve economic and operational benefits /li /ul p2. Product / Item Database Management /p ul liContinuously maintain and update the product/item database, including relevant technical specifications /li liManage supplier price lists, ensuring that item codes and current prices are valid and up to date /li liEnsure that product/item information is complete, accurate, and easily accessible /li /ul p3.
Support to Project Managers /p ul liWork closely with PMs to identify the products and services required to meet specific customer requirements /li liProvide guidance on material selection based on technical and operational needs /li liEnsure that purchased materials meet quality standards and comply with project timelines /li /ul p4. Procurement Optimization /p ul liCoordinate with production planning to determine material requirements and optimize purchasing quantities /li liAnalyze cash flow and procurement requirements to maximize purchasing efficiency /li /ul p5. Inventory Management /p ul liMonitor inventory levels to prevent material shortages or excess stock /li liWork closely with inbound logistics to ensure effective inventory management /li liEnsure that materials are delivered on time and in compliance with specifications. /li /ul pbRequired Skills and Qualifications /b /p ul liAt least 2–3 years of experience in purchasing/procurement management /li liPrevious experience in the relevant industry or similar sectors will be considered a strong advantage, particularly experience purchasing products and services for manufacturing companies (raw materials such as wood and related products, Plexiglas, screws, metal furniture, etc.) /li liStrong negotiation and supplier management skills /li liKnowledge of ERP systems and management software /li liBasic knowledge of AutoCAD 2D, specifically the ability to read technical drawings /li liGood knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 /li liKnowledge of regulations relating to purchasing and supply management /li liTechnical diploma or degree preferred /li /ul pbWhat We Offer /b /p ul li6-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of subsequent permanent employment. /li /ul pSalary depending on candidate’s skills and experience. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
