Join a dynamic team of experienced Legal Counsels who are shaping the future of the energy landscape! As a Legal Counsel, you will actively support a variety of activities within the project, service, and product business of the Business Area “Grid Technologies.” In a world transitioning to meet increasing energy demands from both conventional and renewable sources, you will take charge of a wide range of complex legal matters in this exciting environment. Your primary responsibilities will include supporting sales, procurement, and licensing contracts, drafting templates, managing claims during the execution phase, and providing counsel to a production facility.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Manage all legal matters for various Grid Technologies execution units related to HVDC, substations, products, services, digital solutions, and more.
- Redline and negotiate contracts, developing templates for EPC contracts with both private and public customers, including those within public award procedures, supply and commissioning contracts, and software delivery agreements.
- Oversee public award procedures concerning legal matters and provide legal counsel to a transformer factory on all relevant issues.
- Handle claims with customers and suppliers effectively while taking initiative to proactively address business challenges by balancing governance with business needs.
- Engage and manage outside counsel cost-effectively when necessary, fostering a culture of ownership, empowerment, transparency, and open communication within the organization.
- Collaborate closely with the global Legal Counsel community to ensure alignment and best practices.
What You Bring
- You are a fully qualified lawyer or possess equivalent qualifications in Italian law, with at least 5 years of professional experience in the legal department of an international company or a law firm.
- You are adaptable and open to “multi-tasking,” seamlessly transitioning between different legal topics throughout the day.
- You have experience in negotiating and drafting EPC contracts, with established expertise in FIDIC contract forms and their practical applications,
as well as ancillary agreements and relevant financial arrangements.
- You are knowledgeable in public award procedures and have a keen interest in technical and commercial topics related to power transmission plants, electro-mechanical equipment, software, and artificial intelligence.
- You stay informed about new regulatory developments at both EU and national levels that impact Siemens Energy’s business activities.
- You possess excellent communication skills, coupled with intercultural sensitivity and competence, and thrive in a team-oriented and international environment.
- You are fluent in both Italian and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Rewards/Benefits The total compensation package for this position, including both fixed and variable components, ranges between € 70.000 – € 105.000 gross per year.
Salary ranges for this role are provided in accordance with applicable local legislation. The stated range is based on the Italian labour market.
