Leaf Space is looking for a Technical Proposal Engineer to support and coordinate the technical development of customer proposals for institutional and commercial customers in the space sector.
Acting as the technical focal point during the bid phase, you will translate customer requirements into competitive, technically robust and executable solutions.
Working across Engineering, Product, Operations, Sales and Business Development, you will coordinate technical contributions, contribute to the definition of system concepts, assess risks and ensure every proposal balances innovation, feasibility and business objectives.
TECHNICAL PROPOSAL ENGINEER
Leaf Space is looking for a Technical Proposal Engineer to support and coordinate the technical development of customer proposals for institutional and commercial customers in the space sector.
Acting as the technical focal point during the bid phase, you will translate customer requirements into competitive, technically robust and executable solutions.
Working across Engineering, Product, Operations, Sales and Business Development, you will coordinate technical contributions, contribute to the definition of system concepts, assess risks and ensure every proposal balances innovation, feasibility and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse RFPs, ITTs, Statements of Work and customer technical requirements to identify relevant opportunities.
Support the coordination of technical proposal preparation across Engineering, Product and Operations.
Contribute to the definition of system architectures and technical solutions.
Develop compliance matrices,
technical descriptions and proposal documentation.
Estimate engineering effort, technical risks and implementation assumptions, ensuring solution feasibility.
Support pricing activities with technical inputs and resource estimates.
Participate in customer technical clarification meetings and support technical discussions during contract negotiations.
Identify proposal risks and mitigation strategies.
Ensure consistency between technical documentation, pricing and delivery plans.
Support proposal-to-project handover after contract award and provide technical support during project implementation in coordination with the Project Manager.
Improve proposal processes, templates and technical knowledge management.
Qualifications & Experience
Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or related disciplines
4-6 years of experience in Systems Engineering, Proposal Engineering or Pre-Sales Engineering or Technical Bid Support preferably within the aerospace, defence or high-technology sectors.
Experience with ESA, EC, ASI or other institutional customers is considered an advantage

Career Level: P4-Senior Professional
Job Location: Lomazzo (Como), Italy | Hybrid
Salary Range: 45,********,000 EUR gross annual salary
Variable Compensation: Up to 10% annual premio
