OverviewAs Field Service Engineer, you install, service, and optimize advanced orthopedic capital systems in clinical settings.
You collaborate with surgeons, clinical teams, and commercial partners to support patient outcomes and surgical efficiency.
You will diagnose hardware and software issues, perform preventive maintenance, and drive continuous improvements.
This role combines hands-on field work with cross-functional teamwork, across a dynamic separation landscape to DePuy Synthes.
You will operate in a safety- and quality-driven environment with meaningful impact on care delivery.

ResponsabilitàInstall, commission, maintain, and service Capital Systems at customer sites in line with standards and regulations
Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues to ensure uptime and support
Provide on-site technical support during surgical cases and clinical use as needed
Perform preventive maintenance, upgrades, and functional testing for optimal performance
Document service activities and corrective actions in service management systems
Collaborate with Commercial, Clinical, and Technical teams to support launches and training
Support investigations, root-cause analysis, and long-term corrective actions
Comply with quality, health, safety standards and Credo values




Requisiti fondamentali2 years of relevant field service or engineering experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Biomedical, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics or related)
Hands-on troubleshooting of hardware, software, and integrated systems in customer environments
Ability to work independently in the field and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Strong customer-service orientation and professional communication
Willingness to work flexible hours aligned to surgical schedules
Preferred: experience with robotic-assisted surgery or advanced digital medical technologies
Familiarity with regulated environments (ISO, GMP, MDR/FDA) and medical device quality systems
Knowledge of networking, imaging, or software-driven platforms in OR environments
Experience working with surgeons, OR staff, and hospital biomedical teams
Languages: Italian (fluent); English (professional)
Travel: significant regional travel (~50%), primarily within Italy; some international travel
Certifications: technical or biomedical service certifications preferred
Driving: valid driver's license required
