Leads project execution in accordance with company procedures, relevant cybersecurity regulations and standards, project objectives, applicable quality standards, safety requirements, and cost and scheduling targets. Applies project management processes as applicable. /ph3Core Responsibilities /h3h3Project Leadership /h3ulliLeads the team allocated to the project, defines the main guidelines, allocates project tasks, and motivates and monitors internal and/or external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones. /liliCoaches, develops, and provides feedback to individuals allocated to managed projects. Provides input to the NewGen Resource Manager to support short-term and longer-term development planning for ABB employees. /li /ulh3Instructions And Guidelines /h3ulliEnsures projects follow sound methodology and execution practices in accordance with standard ABB internal directives and procedures, as described in the NewGen PMO Handbook. The project is governed under the ABB Gate Model. /li /ulh3Budget, Sales,
And Operations Planning /h3ulliKeeps up to date and informed about any changes in strategy and is consulted regarding any activities or other projects that have, or might have, a major impact on the project. /liliDevelops and gains approval for a business case defining the value proposition of the project. /li /ulh3Project Execution And Control /h3ulliDevelops a project charter and a project plan (within MS Project) describing how the project will be executed, for communication to project team members and key stakeholders, approval, and as the basis for execution. /liliOrganizes, monitors, and controls activities to ensure the effective achievement of planned stage gates and efficient utilization of available resources. /liliMonitors and controls project costs and financials. Identifies, contains, and reduces risks and ensures that all opportunities are captured and acted upon. /liliFormalizes acceptance of the project and concludes all project activities. Prepares handover documentation and training. /liliManage consultancy partners and solution integrators /liliPlans and tracks all project activities, establishes scheduling risks and opportunities, and delivers projects on time according to commitments. /li /ulh3Stakeholder Relations /h3ulliServes as the key contact for project stakeholders and an escalation point for project issues. /liliCommunicates appropriate information to stakeholders in a timely and effective manner to achieve the desired understanding and support.
/liliDevelops dedicated stakeholder management and change management plans and applies best practices in change management. /li /ulh3People Leadership And Development /h3ulliDevelops and manages team members through formal and informal mentoring and coaching. /liliEnsures, in collaboration with the NewGen Resource Manager, appropriate qualification levels of the selected team members. /liliLeads project team members to achieve project requirements, deliver agreed deliverables, and meet the committed project result. /li /ulh3Document Management /h3ulliIn collaboration with the NewGen PMO, identifies and plans all document deliverables required by the contractual scope of work and incorporates this plan into the overall project plan/schedule. /liliTracks document progress and follows up on overdue comments from the NewGen PMO and Gate Assessors. /li /ulh3Key Requirements /h3ulli+15 years of experience in leading the execution of internal strategic business projects at multinational, regional, or global function level, using internal and/or third-party resources. /liliProven project management practice and experience. /liliStrong stakeholder management and communication skills. /liliProven ability to work in international teams. /liliCertification: PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP, Agile/Scrum certification (e.g., CSM, SAFe), or ABB Program PM Certified according to 2YAD IS Function Standard_IS Project Manager Certification. /li /ulpWe are open to applications from all qualified candidates.
