You'll collaborate with engineering and data teams to design, implement, and maintain robust database environments that support data-driven decisions. You will address performance challenges, incidents, and data migrations while safeguarding critical information. Responsabilità
Guide developers on database development and design best practices
Review and approve database-related code
Monitor database health and performance metrics
Respond to live incidents and alerts (errors, locks, deadlocks, availability)
Perform maintenance tasks: backups/restores, engine upgrades, migrations, parameter changes
Create database functions and triggers
Maintain and improve data integrity
Diagnose and optimize slow queries and parameters for better performance
Requisiti fondamentali
~3+ years administering production PostgreSQL databases
~3+ years administering production Oracle databases
~ Proficient in reading and writing SQL queries including window functions
~ Proficient in DB programming: triggers, functions
~ Proficient in Data Modelling (tables and relations)
~ Proficient in performance tuning
~ Capable of supporting live incidents
~ Experience with Git
~ Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
~ Experience with other RDBMS and NoSQL databases is a plus
~ Nice to have: 1+ years of high-level programming experience
~ Nice to have: 1+ years of managing cloud databases (AWS, GCP)
~ Collaborative communication with developers and cross-functional teams
