ppSenior Contract Manager JDL Recruitment Milan, lombardy, Italy /p pJDL Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a leading data centre developer as they look to expand their team with a Senior Contracts Manager in Milan. /p pApplicant must be based in Milan and speak both Italian English fluently. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liProvide contract and commercial management on complex engineering projects and programmes from inception to completion, supporting internal delivery teams throughout /li liDraft, review and manage all contracts across data centre construction projects, including vendor, main contract, subcontract and consultant service agreements /li liLead contract negotiations with vendors, main contractors, subcontractors and consultants to secure favourable terms, cost effectiveness and appropriate risk allocation /li liDevelop project specific and portfolio wide contracting approaches /li liPrepare supporting contract and commercial documentation in line with procurement processes and timelines /li liLead the identification, evaluation and recommendation of contract changes, variations and claims in line with change control processes /li liAdminister contracts proactively, drafting and issuing all required notices and correspondence to maintain contractual and governance compliance /li liProvide monthly reporting visibility against each contract and project /li liIdentify and evaluate contractual and project risks,
developing mitigation strategies for review and approval /li liDevelop and implement dispute avoidance strategies and lead the resolution of contract related disputes, claims and potential litigation alongside Legal /li liManage vendor and contractor relationships, promoting conflict resolution and providing visibility of contractual performance /li liWork collaboratively with project management, finance, cost and commercial, procurement, governance and legal teams /li liMonitor change, contract and risk impacts on project forecast costs against budget, identifying cost reduction and performance improvement opportunities /li liDrive continuous improvement of contract and commercial management systems and practices /li liAct as technical expert and provide strategic support to the Senior Director on contract and commercial matters /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul li10+ years' relevant professional experience, including delivery of data centres or other complex engineering projects across the full project life cycle /li liRelevant bachelor's degree or equivalent /li liRelevant professional qualification or chartered status /li liIn depth expert knowledge of contract management, construction processes and commercial management /li liExperience with client side delivery of both pre and post contract commercial activities /li liExperience on global projects and within multicultural project teams /li liExperience developing and leveraging strategic relationships across the supply chain /li liStrong commercial acumen with a proven ability to collaborate across internal and external stakeholders /li liExcellent written, interpersonal and communication skills /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
