Overview In this role you will lead Arup Italia's integrated energy design and advisory services, guiding the growth of our energy offering in Italy. You'll work with clients across grid operators, data centres, utilities, renewables and storage to deliver technically sound, end-to-end power solutions. You will coordinate cross-border teams to deliver HV projects, grid studies and interconnections, helping shape a decarbonised energy system. Develop and win work for integrated energy systems in Italy and serve as the main delivery contact for Italy
Lead bid management by understanding client needs and proposing creative, technically sound solutions
Provide technical leadership and project management for projects spanning grid studies, interconnection design, and integration of generation, transmission, distribution, storage and consumption
Contribute to HV power projects within the Data Centre business
Act as Arup ambassador in energy transition, attending industry events to maintain market-leading knowledge
Engage with clients and industry to build relationships and business opportunities
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or related discipline
~+10 years of relevant experience with high voltage electrical systems, substations, renewables and BESS design, energy systems integration, and energy infrastructure in Italy
~ Experience developing the Energy business in Italy and winning projects
~ Proven project management and technical leadership on grid connection projects
~ Strong knowledge of Italian HV transmission and distribution systems, including renewables and interconnections
~ Fluent in Italian and English
~ Excellent communication and client engagement skills
~ Willingness to travel and work on-site in Italy and across Europe
~ Proactive and dynamic mindset
