You support Big Data initiatives, collaborating with analysts and architects to define use cases and data needs, and you deliver data ingestion, transformation, cleansing, and loading into data lakes for analytics and ML. Support customers in Big Data projects in collaboration with business analysts and solution architects
Deliver data acquisition, transformations, cleansing, conversion, compression and loading into data lakes for analytics/ML
Understand use cases and data needs to define outcomes and guide data engineering work
Cloud-native experience in at least one major public cloud (GCP/AWS/Azure)
~5 years experience on Azure preferred
~ Experience with Big Data architectures (cloud and on-prem)
~ Azure infrastructure and networking experience
~ Proven ability to deliver PoCs addressing business needs
~ Experience migrating workloads from on-premises to cloud
~ Monitoring distributed infrastructure (Azure tools or Grafana/Prometheus)
~ Proficiency in Java, Scala, Python, and shell scripting
~ SQL knowledge
~ Experience with Agile/Kanban
~ Experience leading medium-sized teams
~ Experience with Apache Spark, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse; Azure certifications (Data Engineer Associate or Solutions Architect Expert)
