Reporting to the General Manager,
the DoS will be a key member of the executive team of the property.MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop and implement sales action plan in co-operation with the Property and Head Office team;Determine revenue and expenditure budgets in co-operation with internal and Head Office team;Determine appropriate sales strategies in all market segments with the aim of maximizing the Hotel revenues;Control of expenses on a regular basis;Execute sales action plan;Acquire new local/national/international accounts (prospect and solicit new accounts via telemarketing and cold calling);Continually fill in database with clients and potential clients;Account management of existing clients with the aim to extend business;Monitor performances to ensure that productivity meets hotel targets;Identify and solicit new sales & marketing channels and opportunities;Be up to date with relevant market developments;Advise management of developments and opportunities within the marketplace;Execute competition analysis;Understand leisure and corporate contracting process.
