As Intern - Manufacturing Engineer you will collaborate with your team in order to create processes that meet drawing requirements, have high yield, minimize risk of deviation/scrap and meet required production rates.
Job Description
Essential Resposabilities
- Participate in design manufacturing router and documentation according to company procedures and customer requirements
- Support in providing manufacturing method development and improvement for current and new products
- Support in the application Design for Manufacturing principles, working with a cross functional team to ensure 6-Sigma process capability and stable process
- Work with manufacturing engineers and manufacturing shop personnel to validate processes, tools, equipment
- Support design fixtures, tooling and equipment for production and new product development
- Contribute to the determination of safe manufacturing processes that produce a quality product in the most efficient method of production
- Pursue continuous improvement for quality and cost reductions in designated areas
- Assist supervisors and production employees in resolving manufacturing process problems through a drive to root cause and permanent corrective actions
- Support the achievement of all objectives, including safety, quality and productivity
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Aeronautical or Aerospace, Mechanical, Energy, Material or Management Engineering
- Good knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of engineering drawings/specifications and manufacturing processes
- Willingness to learn from others and to work in team
- Curious and eager to learn
- Fluent Italian and English
- Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
