You will develop strategic carrier relationships and work closely with Crane account teams to align on service levels, capacity, and pricing. The position focuses on identifying new carriers, managing spend, and resolving issues to ensure reliable tender acceptance and execution. You will produce regular reports, support pricing decisions, and lead regional carrier reviews to drive efficiency and cost savings. /pulliProcure carrier services and optimize the carrier base to deliver effective solutions /liliDevelop and manage strategic carrier relationships, including executive-level engagement /liliIdentify and onboard new carriers; migrate non-strategic carriers to strategic roles /liliMonitor and control purchased transportation spend for assigned carriers /liliCoordinate with compliance to resolve carrier issues related to tender acceptance and service levels /liliLead or assist in problem resolution between accounts and carriers /liliIdentify capacity for difficult lanes and source suitable carriers /liliAssist in confirming committed capacity and negotiating contracts and rates /liliLiaise with account and accounting teams to resolve billing discrepancies /liliProduce ad-hoc reports to support accounts, consulting, and other initiatives /liliSupport carrier rate negotiations for new and existing business /liliProvide weekly and monthly management reports /liliConduct quarterly carrier business reviews in the assigned region /liliContribute to pricing strategy development and policy creation /liliResearch market growth information to inform decisions /liliDevelop and oversee pricing processes and policies /liliHandle general duties within the scope of carrier management /liliStrong verbal and written communication skills in English /liliAbility to act with urgency and integrity in a high-pressure environment /liliSelf-starter with initiative and ability to learn quickly /liliExperience in carrier management, logistics procurement, or related field /liliAbility to negotiate rates and contracts with carriers /liliExperience coordinating across cross-functional teams (sales, operations, accounting) /liliFamiliarity with tender processes and carrier performance metrics /liliAbility to analyze spend and performance data /liliCertifications may be required in some areas (unknown) /liliPhysical ability to perform job duties as needed /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
