Frontend Developer – Web & Conversion
Pubblicato il 17-09-2026 - Pillar in Milano
ppPillar is an Italian startup founded on February 13, 2025. In less than a year we raised a €15.2 millions to revolutionize the construction industry and we are growing more and more. /p pOur goal is to become the bdigital backbone of construction /b for the Italian building sector and, in the long run, to manage b1 in 3 construction sites across Europe /b. /p pWe are looking for a bFrontend Developer /b to build the web experience behind our acquisition engine. /p h3Who We Are (and Why We Exist) /h3 pThe Italian construction industry is the backbone of the country's economy, involving nearly 5 million people - yet it is still managed with outdated tools. Job sites that invoice but don't collect, spreadsheets everywhere, decisions made by gut feeling, and margins that surface too late. /p pPillar was built to solve this problem at its root. /p pWe have built an all-in-one platform that allows construction companies to oversee every job site, monitor profitability in real time, generate instant estimates, and automatically reconcile invoices with bank transactions. We are not testing an idea: we are building the digital infrastructure of construction. /p pOur mission is to rebuild its foundations. /p pOur ambition is to manage 1 in 3 construction sites in Europe. /p pWe are Italian, but with a European vision. /p h3Why We Are Looking for This Profile /h3 pWe are entering a phase where growth can no longer be purely sales-driven. We need to build a scalable, measurable, and optimized acquisition engine. /p pWe are looking for someone to build and optimize the web infrastructure that will take Pillar to become the industry standard. /p pMost of our traffic is mobile and most of it never reaches a form. Every point of conversion rate we gain is a point we do not have to buy in paid media. That is the problem we want you to own, at the interface level: layout, interaction, speed, clarity. /p pThis is not a "website maintenance" role. It is a builder role.
/p h3What You'll Do /h3 pYou will sit at the intersection of bFrontend, Design, and Growth /b. /p pIn practice: /p ul liBuild and ship pages, components and flows with a strong focus on conversion and performance /li liTranslate Figma designs into pixel-perfect, mobile-first interfaces, and push back when a design will not convert /li liOwn the UX of our conversion paths: landing pages, forms, onboarding wizard, navigation /li liRun A/B tests and iterate on layout, copy placement, and interaction patterns together with marketing /li liUse session recordings, heatmaps, and funnel data to find where users drop off, then fix it /li liKeep the site fast and technically sound (Core Web Vitals, responsive behaviour, accessibility basics, SEO-friendly markup) /li liGrow and maintain a reusable component library so new pages ship in days, not weeks /li /ul pYour one goal: make every page easier to use and harder to leave. /p h3Who We're Looking For /h3 pWe are not just looking for a developer. We are looking for someone who thinks about the person on the other side of the screen. /p pThis is you if you have at least 3-5 years of experience and: /p ul liYou have solid frontend experience (React / Next.js, modern CSS, TypeScript is a plus) /li liYou have a real eye for UI: spacing, hierarchy, states, micro-interactions. You notice the details that make a page feel right /li liYou work mobile-first by default,
not as an afterthought /li liYou are comfortable working from Figma and collaborating closely with designers /li liYou have worked on CRO, A/B testing, or conversion-driven web projects /li liYou think in metrics: conversion rate, drop-off, page speed, funnel /li liYou enjoy testing, measuring, and iterating fast /li liYou see yourself as a builder and want to create something that does not exist yet /li /ul pNice to have: /p ul liExperience in startups or high-growth environments /li liFamiliarity with analytics and tracking tools (GA4, GTM, PostHog) /li liTechnical SEO skills /li liExperience with no-code platforms, headless CMS (Strapi or similar), or motion / animation work /li liFamiliarity with AI tools for rapid experimentation /li /ul h3How We Work at Pillar /h3 pAt Pillar, we all row in the same direction, like a crew in a boat: when one person accelerates, we all do. We believe in genuine empowerment: we give you direction, tools, and clear goals, but the initiative starts with you. We work directly and fast, without unnecessary bureaucracy, measuring results and giving honest feedback. /p pIf you are looking for a comfortable, predictable environment, this is not the place. If you want to build a growth engine from scratch, it is. /p h3What We Offer /h3 ul liCompetitive salary based on experience (€35k - €40k) /li liTicket lunch b€8/day /b /li liReal ownership of a critical growth area /li liMeritocratic growth: impact = advancement /li liOffsite every 6 months /li liA young, ambitious team that wants to build something great /li /ul h3Selection Process /h3 ul liIntroductory call /li liTechnical interview /li liPractical case: we show you one of our conversion pages, you tell us what you would change and why, and how you would build it /li liFinal meeting with one of the founders /li /ul pIf you want to ship pages someone else has already designed and decided, this is not the right role. /p pLet's build something great. Together. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
