Role Description The Privacy Operations Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Florence, responsible for supporting and maintaining privacy practices across JKCPJ’s programs and initiatives. This role involves monitoring compliance with privacy policies, documenting and updating procedures, and assisting in the management of data handling practices related to youth, partners, and stakeholders. The specialist will perform regular privacy risk assessments, track incidents, and coordinate response activities in collaboration with internal teams.
Day-to-day tasks include reviewing operational processes for alignment with privacy standards, preparing reports and summaries for leadership, and supporting training efforts to promote privacy awareness. The role also includes close coordination with project teams to ensure that new initiatives incorporate appropriate privacy safeguards from planning through execution.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to assess privacy risks, interpret data, and evaluate the effectiveness of operational controls.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to convey privacy requirements clearly, collaborate with cross-functional teams,
and prepare concise documentation and reports.
- Candidates should possess Sales-related skills when engaging with partners or stakeholders, including the ability to explain privacy value propositions and build trust around data practices.
- Candidates should possess Operations Management skills to help design, implement, and refine privacy-related workflows and standard operating procedures.
- Candidates should possess Project Management skills to plan, track, and deliver privacy initiatives on schedule, coordinating tasks and resources across teams.
- Knowledge of privacy principles, data protection regulations, and best practices in handling sensitive information is highly beneficial.
- Experience working with youth-focused, educational, or social impact organizations is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as Information Management, Law, Public Policy, Business, or related disciplines) or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work on-site in Florence, manage multiple priorities, and maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all work.
