The role is designed to build solid technical foundations through structured project exposure, document preparation, supplier coordination and participation in design reviews and testing activities. /p h3bKey objectives /b /h3 ul liDevelop practical knowledge of industrial telecommunication systems, engineering workflows and applicable project standards. /li liContribute to accurate and timely preparation of TLC engineering documentation under supervision. /li liSupport project teams in meeting contractual, quality, safety, environmental, schedule and cost requirements. /li liBuild effective collaboration with engineering disciplines, suppliers, subcontractors and client representatives. /li liDemonstrate continuous learning, technical curiosity and progressive autonomy. /li /ul h3bPrimary responsibilities and duties /b /h3 ul liAssist in preparing and reviewing design criteria, system architectures, technical specifications, data sheets, equipment lists, material requisitions and technical bid evaluations. /li liSupport basic design activities for telecommunication systems in accordance with project requirements and applicable codes and standards. /li liReview supplier documentation with guidance from Senior or Lead Engineers and maintain technical comment registers. /li liCollect, verify and organize design inputs, interfaces and technical data from other engineering disciplines. /li liContribute to technical clarifications during tendering and project execution, escalating complex matters to the responsible engineer. /li liSupport quantity take-offs, preliminary equipment sizing, cable and fiber schedules, and document updates. /li liParticipate in design reviews, interdisciplinary checks, supplier meetings and technical workshops, preparing minutes or action lists as assigned. /li liSupport Factory Acceptance Tests, inspections, site activities and commissioning when required. /li liMaintain assigned documentation in accordance with document control and quality procedures. /li liCapture lessons learned and contribute to standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.
/li /ul h3bKey system managed / Typical Systems Portfolio /b /h3 pNon-Security Telecom (TLC) Systems /p ul libPlant Communications: /b Structured cabling, fiber-optic backbone, LAN/WAN, IP telephony, wireless networks, and VSAT systems. /li libPlant Safety Life Safety: /b Public Address and General Alarm (PA/GA), intercom, and radio communication systems. /li libExternal Remote Connectivity: /b Radio, satellite, and dedicated data links (tailored to project scope). /li libNetwork Infrastructure Integration: /b Time synchronization, network management systems (NMS), and integration interfaces with control, safety, and security systems. /li libResilience Cyber Defense: /b Cybersecurity enforcement, disaster recovery planning, and network administration. /li /ul pSecurity Telecom (TLC) Systems /p ul libPhysical Plant Security: /b Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV), Access Control Systems (ACS), and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS). /li /ul pThe systems will be developed under an EPC approach. This entails primarily defining the core architecture and key functionalities required by the system, in full compliance with the Client’s specifications and guidelines. Furthermore, it involves establishing the pre-sizing parameters and technical-contractual constraints to be flowed down to the actual system vendor, who will be responsible for the detail engineering and HW/SW configuration. /p h3bOther duties /b /h3 ul liSupports Site Team clarifying potential issues or providing solutions to correct engineering errors /li liInteract with the Subcontractors for all technical issues. /li liParticipate to commissioning phase /li /ul h3bKey internal interfaces /b /h3 ul liAutomation / Telecommunication Discipline Manager and TLC engineering team. /li liProject Engineers and Document Control. /li liInstrumentation, Electrical, Process, HSE, Civil, Piping, Layout, Construction and Commissioning teams /li /ul h3bKey external interfaces /b /h3 ul liEquipment suppliers and system integrators. /li liEngineering subcontractors. /li liClient technical representatives,
under the coordination of the responsible project engineer. /li /ul h3bCore competencies /b /h3 ul liBachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or a closely related discipline. /li liRecent graduate or up to 2 years of relevant experience; internships, thesis work or university projects in telecommunications, networking or industrial systems are considered an advantage. /li liGood written and spoken English; ability to produce clear technical notes and professional correspondence. /li liAvailability for occasional travel to supplier premises, project sites or international offices, according to business needs /li liFundamentals of telecommunications, digital communications, IP networking and network architectures. /li liBasic understanding of fiber-optic and copper transmission media, structured cabling and wireless communication principles. /li liBasic awareness of cybersecurity principles relevant to networked industrial systems. /li liAbility to read block diagrams, network diagrams, layouts, wiring or interconnection drawings and technical data sheets. /li liFamiliarity with major international standards or industry practices such as IEC, IEEE, ITU-T, ISO/IEC and TIA; detailed project-specific knowledge will be developed on the job. /li liBasic proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools; familiarity with CAD, network simulation, calculation or engineering tools is an advantage. /li /ul h3bOther skills /b /h3 ul liLearning agility and intellectual curiosity. /li liAnalytical thinking and structured problem solving. /li liAccuracy, attention to detail and commitment to quality. /li liPlanning, prioritization and reliability in meeting assigned deadlines. /li liTeamwork and constructive communication in a multidisciplinary environment. /li liOpenness to feedback, accountability and willingness to ask for guidance when needed. /li liSafety and compliance mindset.. /li /ul h3bEXPECTED DEVELOPMENT PATH /b /h3 h3ba.
