LIVIA Health and Senior Living
Growth Engineer — Livia
Milan · Full-time, on-site · Italian required
Why Livia exists
Italians have put everything into their homes: the savings of two generations, their identity, their children's future. No country loves the home more. And no country administers it worse. Most of us live in a condominium. You can track a €10 pizza in real time on your phone, but your building's €200,000 budget disappears once a year into an unreadable PDF. You call, and nobody answers. The leak becomes a stain, and the stain becomes a dispute. In the end, nobody is accountable.
The real monopolist in this market isn't any administrator. It's resignation: "tanto è così." Livia exists to revoke this mandate.
What we're building
Livia is building the operating system for residential living, and we are running it ourselves. We don't sell software to administrators. We are the administrator, and we build the technology that powers us from the ground up. That lets us make promises no one else in the market makes: every euro visible in real time, no kickbacks from contractors, an answer within one hour on emergencies, and a full refund if a building isn't satisfied in the first year.
Underneath, we're building something harder to see: the deepest context layer on Italian buildings. Every repair request, contractor job, assembly decision, and resident conversation becomes structured knowledge. When a pipe leaks, our system knows which pipes are in the wall and which plumber last worked on them.
The better the context, the better the AI; the better the AI, the more buildings run proactively rather than reactively. That compounding context is our moat, and it's why we're rebuilding the data architecture from scratch instead of bolting AI onto legacy tools, as incumbents are now trying to do.
But property management is a trust business, and AI can't take responsibility. So our administrators become what they should always have been: dedicated people who know their buildings, run assemblies well, and put their name on every decision, while software handles the groundwork.
We grow by winning buildings one by one and by integrating established administration firms. We welcome their teams and expertise and give them better processes and tools. The best administrators in Milan will be with us.
We're backed by Italian Founders Fund, Vento, 2100, and leading Italian families and angels. The market has thousands of fragmented firms and no reference company yet. We intend to become the alternative and fix the world's oldest asset class.
The Role
Almost nobody in Italy has ever chosen their condominium administrator. They inherited one. Our job is to turn a decision people have never thought about into one they actively make, and then make it easy. That's one of the hardest sales processes there is. The customer isn't one person but a whole building: a frustrated owner who finds us, a council that needs convincing, and an assembly of neighbours who must vote to revoke the current administrator and appoint us. The cycle is long, the trigger is often a single bad moment, and there is no playbook, because nobody has built a consumer brand in this category before.
As our Growth Engineer, you'll build that playbook from scratch. You'll own the full engine, from the billboard someone sees on their way to work, to the ad on their phone, to the landing page that answers their questions, to the materials that win the vote in the assembly. You write the code, launch the campaigns, run the experiments, and read the numbers, and you decide what to do next.
The role sits between marketing, product, and sales,
and it's designed for someone who wants to lead growth at Livia as we scale beyond Milan.
How We Work
Livia is not a typical Italian company, and this is not a typical Italian job. We're a team of internationals and Italians who left, built careers at some of the world's fastest-growing startups and unicorns, and came back. We brought that playbook home: high standards, fast decisions, radical ownership, and an intensity that doesn't exist in Italy.
We believe Milan can become a startup ecosystem that rivals London, Paris, or Berlin, and we intend to help build it. That means proving that a world-class company can be built here, with homegrown and international talent, in one of the most traditional industries in the country.
Here's what that looks like day to day:
- We move fast. Decisions take days, not months. A landing page you design in the morning can be live with traffic by the afternoon.
- We hold a high bar. We expect excellent work, and we tell each other directly when something falls short, including the founders.
- We own outcomes, not channels. Clicks and impressions aren't the finish line; buildings that choose Livia are.
- We work hard, on purpose. Building a category-defining company takes real commitment, especially in these early years. We protect what matters (health, rest, the people you love), but we won't pretend this is an easy job.
We're looking for people who want to do their life's work. If that's not you right now, that's completely fine. It just means Livia isn't the right place for you.
What You'll Work On
Out-of-home and DOOH. Plan, design, and launch campaigns on the streets of Milan: metro, trams, billboards, digital screens, and the places where frustration with the administrator actually happens, like building lobbies and neighbourhoods. Make offline measurable with dedicated URLs, QR codes, geo-targeting, and lift studies. Paid acquisition. Build and run Meta campaigns and other paid channels end-to-end: audiences, creative, copy, budgets, and bidding. Find the messages that turn resignation into action.
Landing pages and funnels. Build custom landing pages fast, by neighbourhood, by pain point, by audience. Own the quote flow on liviacasa.it and make every step from first visit to "request a quote" shorter and clearer.
Experimentation. Set up the A/B testing infrastructure and run a constant cadence of experiments on channels, creative, pages, pricing presentation, and follow-up. Kill what doesn't work quickly and scale what does.
Cracking the building sale. Work with our sales team to map how a building actually decides. Build the tools that help one motivated owner convince the rest: shareable proposals, comparison calculators, assembly-ready materials, templates to put the change on the agenda, and follow-up sequences that keep the momentum until the vote.
Tracking and analytics. Own attribution from first touch to signed mandate. Build the dashboards that tell us the true cost of acquiring a building and which channels deserve the next euro.
New growth loops. Referrals from happy residents, partnerships with real estate agents, notaries, contractors, and insurers, content and SEO around the questions people ask when their administrator stops answering, and outreach to administrators who are thinking about succession.
Examples of what you might own in your first months
- A neighbourhood-by-neighbourhood OOH campaign in Milan, with its own landing pages and a clear read on what it brought in
- A Meta testing engine that ships new creative every week and tells us which pains and promises convert
- A "switch your administrator" toolkit that lets an owner bring Livia's proposal to their assembly with everything ready
- A calculator that shows a building what it could save and what it would get, in thirty seconds
- The full-funnel dashboard, from impression to assembly vote, that the founders use to decide where to invest
Who We're Looking For
Builder and marketer in one. You can write the code for a landing page and the copy on it. You're comfortable with HTML, CSS, JavaScript or a modern framework, and no-code tools where they're faster. Paid acquisition experience. You've run Meta campaigns (and ideally others) with real budgets, and you know how to find winning creative and scale it without burning money.
Experimentation discipline. You design tests properly, know when a result is real, and don't fool yourself with vanity metrics.
Data fluency. You're comfortable with analytics tools, tracking setups, and SQL or spreadsheets, and you can build attribution when it isn't handed to you.
Creative instinct. You know what makes someone stop scrolling or look up from the tram, and you care about how Livia looks and sounds everywhere.
Understanding of complex sales. You're curious about how groups decide, and you want to sit in an assembly to see where a deal is won or lost.
End-to-end autonomy. You take a channel from idea to results with minimal supervision, and you own the numbers.
Clear communication. Sharp writing, in Italian especially: our customers read every word.
Growth mindset. You ask for feedback, take it well, and learn quickly.
Language. Fluent Italian and English, spoken and written. Native-level Italian copywriting is a strong plus.
Technical aptitude. AI is core to how we work, so we expect you to use it daily, from creative production to analysis.
We care more about what you've grown than where you studied or worked. Whether you come from a fast-growing startup, a performance marketing team, an agency, or your own projects, show us the numbers you moved and how.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary growing with your responsibility
- Equity for everyone: you become a co-owner, so the value you build is yours too
- A real budget and the freedom to test ideas on the streets of Milan
- Full access: to the numbers, the decisions, and the rooms where things happen
- Real ownership from month one, and a short, concrete path to leading growth at Livia
- Flexible vacation and working hours
- Learning: free books and a budget for courses and conferences, as an attendee or speaker
- Wellbeing: a budget for therapy, if and when you need it
- Daily meal vouchers and a generous transport allowance
- €500 premio if you move within a 20-minute walk of the office
We hire people, not roles
If this excites you but you don't tick every box, apply anyway.
Hiring Process
- Apply: just your CV and two lines about yourself (a link to campaigns, pages, or anything you've grown helps)
- Intro call with the team (~30 min)
- Case: design a growth plan for a real Livia challenge and discuss it with us
- Meet the team at our office in Milan
- Trial days: three paid days with us to build and launch something real, end-to-end
- Offer and welcome
We aim to complete the process within 2 weeks. This role is for people who want their work to matter, and to change how a whole country thinks about home. If that's you, we'd love to meet you.
