In this role you enhance end-to-end performance for OHB Italia's satellite projects, defining and validating performance budgets across system and payloads. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure performance requirements are met from design through CalVal. You'll build models, run analyses, and support verification, calibration, and mission validation activities. This position offers impact on complex space systems and contributes to customer reviews and future mission concepts.
Responsabilità
- Define and consolidate end-to-end performance budgets for mission, system, and payload
- Develop and maintain performance models, simulations, and engineering tools
- Assess impacts of mission concepts, architecture choices, and environment on performance
- Perform performance analyses and trade studies to guide engineering decisions
- Coordinate performance engineering activities across space, ground, and operations segments
- Support allocation of performance requirements and margins
- Coordinate Cal/Val activities including ground calibration and in-orbit commissioning
- Support verification, validation,
and qualification activities for system performance
- Contribute to customer reviews, technical assessments, and performance reporting
- Support proposal preparation and feasibility studies for future missions
Requisiti fondamentali
- University degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related discipline; Master's or PhD preferred
- Proven experience in performance engineering or mission analysis within space
- Strong knowledge of electrooptical systems
- Understanding of satellite systems, performance drivers, and end-to-end processes
- Experience in modelling, xkiyazw simulation, and performance assessment
- Experience performing engineering trade-offs and quantitative analyses
- Familiarity with verification and validation processes for space systems
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
- Good communication and technical reporting skills
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
