For our Milan Headquarter we are seeking a Senior Java Developer , directly reporting to the Software Architect Manager. The main role of this figure is to develop and implement software solutions according to the predefined functional analysis and application architecture, ensuring the quality, scalability, performance and maintainability of the code. The Senior Java Developer will also be responsible for coordinating and providing technical guidance to a small team of vendor-provided developers, overseeing their day-to-day activities and ensuring the quality and consistency of their deliverables.
The role is designed for an experienced engineer who wants to expand their impact from individual contribution and team-level technical leadership toward broader software architecture responsibilities.
Working closely with the Software Architect Manager,
the candidate will progressively take ownership of more complex design and architectural decisions, contribute to the evolution of the organization's technical landscape, and develop the skills and experience required to progress toward a Junior Software Architect role within approximately 12–18 months, based on demonstrated capabilities and organizational needs.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Leads and coordinates the development and implementation of Java-based software solutions according to the defined functional requirements and application architecture.
- Provides technical guidance and support to a small team of external developers, coordinating their activities and ensuring the quality and consistency of their deliverables.
- Translates functional requirements and architectural guidelines into robust, scalable, maintainable, secure and high-quality software implementations.
