Our client is a leading international renewable energy platform seeking a Country Manager for Italy to lead the growth and development of its Italian business. The role combines country-level leadership with a strong focus on project origination, development, project management and M&A.; The successful candidate will be responsible for building the project pipeline, identifying investment opportunities, leading strategic transactions and overseeing projects through development and delivery.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead the Italian market strategy, business development and overall country performance. Originate and develop a pipeline of utility-scale solar and renewable energy projects.
Identify, evaluate and lead M&A;, acquisitions, JVs and strategic partnerships.
Oversee projects from early-stage development through permitting, grid connection and construction readiness.
Lead project management across scope, budget, schedule, quality and risk.
Provide technical and commercial oversight of projects and investment opportunities.
Lead and develop the Italian team, working closely with European engineering, finance, legal, investment and development functions.
Represent the business with senior external stakeholders and support investment and strategic decision-making.
Candidate ProfileSenior experience within renewable energy / solar PV / energy infrastructure, ideally in Italy.
Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.
Strong track record in project origination and development.
Proven project management experience across complex renewable energy projects.
Experience with M&A;, acquisitions, JVs or strategic transactions.
