We are looking for a motivated and proactive Transportation Specialist to join our team in Vigasio. Your main responsibilities
Transportation Request Management
- Receive, review, and validate transportation requests from internal and external stakeholders
- Verify the completeness and accuracy of shipment information (origin, destination, shipment details, quantities, products availability, delivery dates, special handling requirements)
- Assess transportation feasibility based on operational constraints and service requirements
- Prioritize transportation requests according to business needs and customer commitments
Transportation Planning
- Create shipments according to destination’s features using SAP tools
- Plan transportation activities to ensure efficient routing, load consolidation, and vehicle utilization.
- Select the appropriate carrier based on contractual agreements, capacity, service level, and cost.
- Define transportation routes, stops, pickup and delivery sequences, and scheduling requirements.
- Optimize shipments to maximize equipment utilization and minimize transportation costs.
Carrier Coordination
- Coordinate transportation execution with carriers and Epta’s warehouses
- Confirm carrier availability and shipment acceptance
- Communicate transportation schedules using SAP
- Manage changes to transportation plans and coordinate rescheduling when necessary
Cost and Service Optimization
- Support transportation cost optimization initiatives
- Balance transportation costs with customer service requirements
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within transportation operations
What we are looking for
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or a similar field
- Language: Italian and English mandatory; French language skills are a plus
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership
- Customer-oriented mindset
- SAP knowledge
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with transportation planning and carrier management
- Knowledge of shipment optimization and logistics processes

What We Offer
At Epta, we offer a transparent and competitive compensation package aligned with the applicable National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL - Metalworking).
- CCNL level: C3
- Gross Annual Salary (RAL): up to €28,748.59 per year (CCNL Level C3 minimum). The final offer will be determined using objective, gender-neutral criteria applied consistently across all candidates, including verified professional experience, relevant technical competencies, and the confirmed scope and responsibilities of the role.
- Up to 50% lavoro da remoto per month, in agreement with the Manager
