Gate Golf Club
Established in 2023, The Gate Golf Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to expanding access to golf and creating a lasting impact on the Southwest Florida community. Scheduled to open in late 2026, The Gate will feature:
- Oakwood Grill - 175-seat freestanding full-service restaurant
- The Pavilion Bar
- The Gimme - quick service restaurant
- The Bays - 30-bay state-of-the-art practice range with Trackman technology
- The Gater 18-h putting course
- Jacobsen-Hardy designed 9-hole regulation-length golf course
The Gate is designed to make golf more accessible to families and players of all skill levels, while providing high-quality golf and hospitality experiences at affordable rates.
Position Overview
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and established quality standards
- Ensure food is prepared and presented accurately and in a timely manner
- Assist with menu planning and recipe development
- Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work station
- Work closely with other kitchen team members to ensure smooth and efficient service
- Assist with catering events and special functions as needed
- Maintain consistency and quality throughout food preparation and service
- Be willing to learn new techniques, contribute ideas, and improve culinary skills
Requirements We’re looking for someone who wants to be hands-on, creative, and committed to improving themselves in the kitchen. Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar food-service position preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Strong knife skills and basic food preparation knowledge
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong commitment to food quality and presentation
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills

- Ability to take direction while also contributing ideas and initiative
