We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting and financial operations in compliance with Italian accounting standards (OIC) and applicable IFRS requirements.
The candidate will assist in bookkeeping, tax compliance, reconciliations, invoicing, and preparation of financial reports.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain general accounting records and journal entriesProcess accounts payable and accounts receivableManage vendor invoices and customer billingAssist in VAT (IVA) filings, F24 payments, and tax compliance activitiesPerform bank, vendor, and ledger reconciliationsSupport monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activitiesAssist in preparation of financial statements as per Italian GAAP (OIC) / IFRS standardsMaintain fixed asset register and inventory recordsPrepare accounting documentation for audits and statutory complianceSupport payroll accounting entries and expense trackingCoordinate with external auditors, tax consultants,



and internal departmentsEnsure compliance with Italian accounting and fiscal regulationsRequirementsSecondary school diploma in accounting (or equivalent)Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics is preferred1–3 years of accounting experience preferredKnowledge of Italian accounting principles (OIC) and basic IFRS understandingFluency in English – Speaking, Reading & WritingFamiliarity with VAT, invoicing, and Italian tax proceduresProficiency in MS Excel and accounting ERP systemsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsGood communication skills in English; Italian language knowledge preferredRemuneration package:GAS range: ******€ - ******€fixed-term contract with a duration of 1 yearno performance bonusremote working opportunities (up to 1-2 days per week)Grafton is the global Professional Recruitment brand of Gi Group Holding, the first Italian multinational in the employment sector and one of the leading companies providing HR services and consulting worldwide.
