•Poreta, Italy /h3 h3BMS Commissioning Engineer /h3 pA growing building automation and controls company is expanding its presence across Europe and is looking for an experienced BMS Commissioning Engineer to join its team in Milan.
/p pThe role will focus on the commissioning, testing and handover of BMS and building automation systems across large-scale data centre projects.
/p pYou will work closely with project managers, controls engineers, electrical and mechanical contractors, and client teams to ensure BMS systems are fully tested, integrated and operating in line with project specifications and critical infrastructure requirements.
/p pThis is an excellent opportunity for a commissioning engineer with a strong BMS/controls background who wants to work on technically challenging mission-critical projects and develop their career within a growing international organisation.
/p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liCommission BMS and building automation systems across large-scale data centre projects.
/li liCarry out point-to-point testing, functional testing and system commissioning.
/li liTest and commission HVAC control systems including AHUs, chillers, pumps, CRAC/CRAH units and associated equipment.
/li liConfigure and test BMS controllers, I/O, sensors, actuators and field devices.
/li liDiagnose and resolve hardware, software, controls and communication issues.
/li liComplete functional performance testing in accordance with project specifications.
/li liSupport integrated systems testing (IST) and client witnessing activities.
/li liWork with electrical and mechanical teams to coordinate commissioning activities.
/li liInterface with PLCs, HVAC equipment and other third-party systems.
/li liTest communications and integrations using protocols such as BACnet and Modbus.
/li liReview BMS graphics, alarms, trends, sequences and control strategies.
/li liProduce commissioning records, test sheets and technical documentation.
/li liIdentify defects and ensure issues are resolved prior to project handover.
/li liLiaise directly with clients, consultants, contractors and project management teams.
/li liSupport final project handover and provide technical assistance during the defects period.
/li liEnsure all commissioning activities are completed safely and in accordance with project procedures.
/li /ul h3Desired Experience /h3 ul liProven experience as a BMS Commissioning Engineer, BMS Controls Engineer or Controls Commissioning Engineer.
/li liStrong understanding of BMS and HVAC control systems.
/li liExperience commissioning DDC, PLC or BMS control systems.
/li liStrong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
/li liExperience with HVAC plant and mechanical services.
/li liGood understanding of control panels, sensors, actuators and field devices.
/li liExperience with BACnet, Modbus or similar communication protocols.
/li liAbility to read electrical drawings, control schematics and technical documentation.
/li liData centre / critical infrastructure experience is highly desirable.
/li liExperience working on large commercial, industrial or mission-critical projects.
/li liStrong communication skills and ability to work effectively with clients and contractors.
/li liWillingness to travel to data centre sites across Italy and potentially wider Europe.
