We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with Kotlin to join one of our portfolio companies.

This is a remote position with occasional travel to the company's office.

The ideal candidate is a self‑motivated professional, capable of multitasking and collaborating effectively within a team. You should have strong architectural thinking, along with extensive experience in Kotlin and Java. In this role, you will play a key part in designing, developing, and evolving our back‑end systems, leveraging Kotlin to build scalable and high‑performing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

-

- Develop and enhance features for their powerful back‑end system that processes millions of requests daily.

- Take charge of developing and maintaining advanced Kotlin‑based backend systems that support flight search, booking, and post‑booking functionalities. Ensure the systems are scalable, reliable, and efficient.

- Uphold and enhance code quality through rigorous testing, code reviews, and implementing best practices in software development.



Mentor junior developers in these practices.

- Continuously explore and integrate new technologies and methodologies to improve system functionality and performance. Focus on optimizing flight search algorithms and enhancing user experience.

- Participate actively in all phases of the product development lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation and release. Drive continuous improvement in processes and technologies.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

- 5+ years of experience in Kotlin / Java

- Demonstrated ability in designing, building, and maintaining high‑performance, scalable, and reliable backend systems. Experience with flight booking systems or in in the travel industry is highly beneficial.

- Ability to tackle complex problems, think analytically, and come up with creative and efficient solutions.

- Commitment to code quality, documentation, and sound testing practices. xysqume xysqume Experience with performance tuning and optimization techniques.
