As we prepare to open strongBaccarat Hotel Rome /strong, we are seeking an experienced strongPayroll Manager /strong to join our pre-opening leadership team. /ppbr / /ppThis is far more than a traditional payroll position. /ppbr / /ppAs one of the hotel#39;s founding team members, you will play a critical role in establishing the payroll function from the ground up—implementing systems, developing processes, ensuring legislative compliance and partnering with Finance and People Operations to create a payroll operation that is accurate, efficient and scalable before the hotel opens its doors. The role reports to the Director of Finance and is responsible for compliant payroll processing, payroll controls, statutory reporting and daily cash reconciliations. /ppbr / /ppstrongAbout the Role /strong /ppWorking as part of our pre-opening Finance team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing payroll processes that support a world-class luxury operation while ensuring full compliance with Italian legislation and company standards. /ppbr / /ppYou#39;ll work closely with our external payroll provider, People Operations and operational leaders to establish best practice from day one. /ppbr / /ppstrongKey responsibilities include: /strong /pulliLeading the implementation and setup of the hotel#39;s payroll systems and payroll processes prior to opening. /liliManaging the end-to-end monthly payroll process,



ensuring salaries, overtime, holiday pay, bonuses, service charge/tronc and statutory deductions are processed accurately and on time. /liliEnsuring compliance with Italian payroll legislation, tax, pension and statutory reporting obligations. /liliDeveloping robust payroll controls, audit trails and reporting processes. /liliProducing payroll analysis including labour costs, headcount, overtime and forecasting information. /liliSupporting payroll budgeting and labour planning. /liliManaging daily cash reconciliation, house banks, petty cash and overs shorts reporting. /liliPartnering closely with Finance, People Operations and department leaders to ensure accurate employee and payroll records. /li /ulpbr / /ppstrongAbout You /strong /ppWe#39;re looking for someone who enjoys building rather than maintaining. /ppYou will be an experienced Payroll professional who thrives in a pre-opening or start-up environment and enjoys creating systems, processes and structure from the ground up. /ppbr / /ppstrongYou will bring: /strong /pulliPrevious payroll experience within the Italian hospitality industry, ideally in a luxury or high-volume environment.



/liliDemonstrated experience establishing or implementing payroll systems and processes, preferably within a hotel pre-opening, new business or systems implementation environment. /liliA comprehensive understanding of Italian payroll legislation, employment law, taxation, pension obligations and payroll compliance. /liliStrong financial acumen with excellent reconciliation and analytical skills. /liliExceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. /liliAdvanced Excel skills and familiarity with hotel finance systems. /liliExperience working collaboratively across Finance, People Operations and operational departments. /liliExperience with Workday would be advantageous, although not essential.
