Position: Private Equity Associate – Consumer & Leisure (France/Europe)

Type: Contract

Compensation: $100–$120/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 20–25 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

- Build a working financial model of an assigned consumer / leisure transaction from a synthetic deal document pack.
- Deliver an editable Excel workbook with live formulas, source references, and stated assumptions.
- Peer-review two anonymized models from other contractors against a fixed set of criteria. Provide a short written rationale for each and a completed review scorecard.
- Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while ensuring accuracy and quality in model outputs.

Qualifications

Must-Have

- 2–4 years total experience: ~2 years investment banking (Consumer / Retail or generalist M&A; — ideally Paris, London,



or elsewhere in Europe) followed by 1–2 years in mid-market or large-cap private equity.
- Currently or recently an Associate at a mid-market or large-cap PE fund with a consumer / leisure / multi-site services focus (fitness clubs, owned vs. franchise, multi-site roll-ups); a Paris office or French deal experience is preferred.
- Able to build a financial model from source documents, without a template.
- English-speaking
