About the Role
The Security Guard will be responsible for ensuring the safety of staff, clients, merchandise, and the overall store environment. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in high-touch customer service, alert, and calm under pressure, with prior experience in luxury retail or hospitality settings.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the entrance and sales floor to deter theft, prevent loss, and provide a visible security presence.
- Greeting clients and guests in a professional, courteous manner.
- Support the store team in managing foot traffic, especially during high-volume periods or private events.
- Maintain a strong awareness of the store's layout, exits, and emergency procedures.
- Respond swiftly and discreetly to any disturbances or security concerns.
- Document any incidents clearly and accurately; liaise with store leadership and law enforcement if needed.
- Conduct opening and closing security checks of the store as needed.
Key Requirements:
- Valid California Guard Card required.
- 2+ years of experience in retail, hospitality, or corporate security (luxury or high-end environment preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to remain composed and observant in dynamic environments.
- First Aid/CPR certification and/or firearms permit is a plus (but not req
