Korn Ferry has partnered with our client on their search for the role, Sales Account Manager.Client BackgroundOur client is a global provider of specialty ingredients, consumables, and research and manufacturing services for biotechnology, pharmaceutical, home and personal care, and other consumer-oriented and industrial markets.Job SummaryThe Sales Account Manager is responsible for delivering sales growth at BioTech/Pharma and Personal Care customers by building strong, sustainable customer relationships, negotiating contracts, and managing account performance through forecasting and reporting. Success in this role requires strong interpersonal and customer service skills, solid business acumen, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while solving problems effectively.Job ResponsibilitiesManages a portfolio of accounts in the BioTech/Pharma and Personal Care segment to achieve long-term success.Serve as the main point of contact in all matters related to client concerns and needs, internally and externally.Implement growth strategy and business development activities at assigned BioTech/Pharma accounts in Europe.Deliver Business Plan for the assigned responsibilityGenerates new business using existing and potential customer networks.Manage portfolio of sales and related technical service projects for maximum commercial impactPlan, forecast, report on sales and business performance according to company requirement; participates in regional sales & operations planning.Maintain administration and relevant reporting and planning systemsBe a champion to drive "sales excellence" and the use of its toolsIntegrate the sales channels with the marketing, technical sales, regulatory and supply chain functions of the business,
as well as with customer service.Build and strengthen client relationships to achieve long-term partnershipsMaintain accurate client records, keeping track of any contract updates and renewalsAcquires a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements.Resolves any issues faced by customers and deals with complaints to maintain trust.Resolves conflicts and provides solutions to customers in a timely manner.Monitors sales metrics (e.G. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts).Suggests actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth.Initiates sales process by scheduling appointments; making initial presentation; understanding account requirements.Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.Supports established Distributors through timely feedback and scheduled work daysJob RequirementsBachelor’s degree in or relevant field, Master preferredA minimum of 3 years work experience as a sales account manager, sales account executive, or related role preferred, ideally in the BioTech/Pharma/Personal Care segmentAbility to deliver excellent customer experienceKnowledge of CRM software and MS Office (MS Excel in particular)Understanding of sales performance metrics
