Job Description – Junior Logistics & Shipping Specialist
Role Description
The candidate will join the Supply Chain team of a fast-growing company and will support the Logistics Manager in daily shipping management, warehouse flow monitoring, and coordination with carriers.
The role involves both logistics planning and system-related operational activities, working closely with Customer Service, Production, Warehouse, and Purchasing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and plan domestic and international shipments, ensuring compliance with delivery deadlines and customer requirements.
- Manage shipping documentation (delivery notes, pro-forma invoices, CMR, packing lists, and export customs documents).
- Monitor inbound and outbound logistics flows, ensuring accurate booking of warehouse movements in the system.
- Liaise daily with freight forwarders and carriers to request quotes, book transport,
and track deliveries.
- Support the Logistics Manager in warehouse space optimization and stock level management.
- Promptly resolve transport issues, such as delays, damaged goods, or inventory discrepancies.
- Collaborate with Customer Service to provide real-time updates on shipment status.
- Contribute to monitoring logistics KPIs (transport costs, on-time delivery, carrier performance).
Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in logistics, shipping, or warehouse management roles.
- Excellent knowledge of English (both written and spoken) for daily communication with international partners and clients.
- Basic knowledge of SAP is a plus.
- Great command of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
