We believe in equal opportunities and fair pay practices. /p h3Senior Software Engineer, Field Survey Applications /h3 pLocation: Hybrid role with three days per week in the office, preferably in bConcordia sulla Secchia (Modena) /b or bAncona /b office. /p pTopcon Positioning Group designs productivity tools that bring workflow automation and seamless data connectivity to construction, Geomatics, and agriculture. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help develop field software used with GNSS receivers, robotic total stations, and other surveying equipment across Android, Windows, Linux, and iOS platforms. /p h3What you will do /h3 ul liDevelop and maintain field survey applications using Java, C++, and related technologies. /li liImplement software modules that connect with Topcon and third-party field equipment. /li liCollaborate with project managers, team leaders, and software teams to plan delivery schedules and ensure high-quality execution. /li liAnalyze, troubleshoot, and resolve technical and application issues. /li liSupport existing mature software while contributing to new features, enhancements, testing, and documentation. /li liProvide technical guidance and contribute to continuous improvement of software processes. /li /ul h3Key skills and competencies /h3 ul li3+ years of professional software development experience, with strong Java and/or C++ skills.
/li liHands-on Android development experience, including Android Studio. /li liSolid understanding of object-oriented programming, software design principles, algorithms, data structures, and multithreading. /li liExperience with software development tools, version control, debugging, testing, and documentation. /li liKnowledge of bug tracking systems such as JIRA, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing practices. /li liKnowledge of the following is a great advantage: c++20, boost, asio, gRPC, protobuf, mqtt, ntrip, rtcm, NMEA, cryptography, static analysis, memory optimization, C++ templates, sql, multithreading, lockfree, docker, geometry. /li liAbility to work in cross-functional engineering environments and communicate effectively in English. /li liProblem-solving mindset, ownership of technical topics, and ability to guide others when needed. /li /ul h3What we offer /h3 ul liCompetitive salary package: €55,000 – €65,000 gross annual salary, based on skills and experience, plus a variable premio. /li liHybrid and flexible work setup supporting both collaboration and individual focus. /li liMeal vouchers, learning opportunities, and the chance to contribute to global projects with international teams. /li /ul h3Why join Topcon? /h3 pJoin a global technology company where your software will directly support field professionals working with advanced positioning, surveying, and connected-data solutions.
