This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Associate Director, Medical Affairs based in Italy.
As Associate Director, Medical Affairs, you will serve as a scientific leader and subject-matter expert across a broad range of Medical Affairs activities. You will independently lead high-value workstreams spanning thought leader engagement, scientific congresses, medical communications, publications, literature surveillance, and insight generation. The role combines external scientific engagement with strategic ownership of programs that support the product lifecycle. You will translate clinical evidence and stakeholder insights into practical recommendations that shape Medical Affairs priorities. You will also collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and provide trained backup support for selected Pharmacovigilance, Medical Information, and Product Complaint activities. This is a remote opportunity within a purpose-driven, collaborative healthcare environment,
with approximately 20% travel for congresses and external engagements.
Accountabilities

Serve as a scientific subject-matter expert, translating clinical evidence, stakeholder insights, and emerging scientific developments into balanced, actionable recommendations for Medical Affairs strategy.

Develop and maintain compliant relationships with key thought leaders (KTLs), healthcare professionals, and other external scientific experts.

Plan and conduct scientific exchanges, advisory boards, roundtables, consensus initiatives, and other external engagements aligned with Medical Affairs objectives.

Develop KTL engagement plans, define interaction objectives, document scientific insights, and coordinate appropriate follow-up with Medical Affairs leadership.
