Overview As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design and evolve large-scale distributed systems and steer architecture for scalability and reliability. You’ll mentor engineers, set coding and testing standards, and own key features end-to-end. You will influence cross-team direction and drive observable, maintainable backend solutions. This role offers remote work from Italy and the chance to shape engineering practices in a growing international tech team.

Responsabilità
- Lead design and evolution of large-scale distributed systems
- Drive architecture decisions around scalability, performance, and maintainability
- Own cross-team technical initiatives and influence engineering direction
- Mentor engineers and raise standards around design, code quality, and operational excellence




- Drive best practices across software design, testing, and observability
- Take ownership of critical features and services from concept through production

Requisiti fondamentali
- Degree in Computer Science or related field, or extensive equivalent professional experience
- Extensive experience designing and building large-scale distributed systems
- Strong experience with Golang, C++ or Ruby
- Strong knowledge of system design, algorithms and data structures
- Experience with modern backend architectures, APIs and service-oriented systems
- Strong automated testing experience, including TDD, BDD and integration testing
- JavaScript/TypeScript and React experience is a plus
- Fluent English; Italian is a plus
- Remote work experience in a distributed setup
