We’re looking for a technically skilled and hands-on O&M; Manager to join our Service team, reporting to the Head of Service EMEA.
You’ll be responsible for the operation and maintenance of NHOA’s projects, ensuring plant performance, customer satisfaction and HSE compliance.
The role is hands-on and site-based, requiring regular presence at project sites and travel between the islands (Ibiza/Minorca).
? What you’ll do
- Manage the O&M; activities of assigned projects, ensuring plant performance, service quality, and contract profitability
- Act as a key point of contact for customers, supporting the Head of Service EMEA in managing relationships, contracts, claims, and contractual responsibilities
- Coordinate with the Performance Monitoring team to identify and resolve operational issues, supporting troubleshooting and root cause analyses
- Plan and manage preventive and corrective maintenance activities,
coordinating NHOA O&M; Technicians and third-party contractors
- Collaborate with Project Management, Engineering, Commissioning, and other teams to ensure plants meet contractual obligations, performance guarantees, and company standards
- Support Service & O&M; proposals, providing technical and operational input based on field experience, and contribute to customer satisfaction throughout the contract lifecycle
- Manage parts and service procurement and invoicing for assigned projects, in coordination with the Head of Service EMEA and Finance team
- Provide feedback to Engineering and R&D; on product improvements, operational needs, automation, and data-driven reporting, contributing to the continuous improvement of Service processes and tools
- Support the training and development of O&M; Technicians, particularly during periods of business growth
- Promote a strong HSE culture, ensuring compliance with site HSE procedures, legal and contractual requirements, emergency plans, and permit-to-work systems; ensure personnel are properly inducted and competent, risk assessments are completed, and hazards, near misses, incidents, and HSE observations are properly reported and followed through to closure
What we’re looking for
- Vocational Education and Training (VET/FP) qualification in Electrical, Electromechanical, Electronics, Maintenance, or a related technical field (e.g. Técnico en Instalaciones Eléctricas y Automáticas or Técnico en Mantenimiento Electromecánico in Spain)
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in O&M;, maintenance, electrical testing, commissioning, or service activities, preferably in an industrial or energy environment, with basic knowledge of PLCs and experience in Energy/BESS, renewable energy, power electronics,
or similar technologies
- Specialist knowledge of electrical installations, acquired through accredited vocational or university education, or through at least two years of certified professional experience, as required to be appointed as a Trabajador Cualificado (Qualified Worker) for carrying out high-voltage (AT) electrical work.
- Basic Level of Prevention in Construction – 60 hours qualification (Nivel Básico de Prevención en la Construcción – 60h)
- Occupational Risk Prevention (PRL) – Electricity, Installation and Maintenance of HV and LV Systems – 20 hours qualification (PRL Electricidad, Montaje y Mantenimiento de Instalaciones de AT y BT – 20h)
- Ability to work independently and coordinate multiple stakeholders, activities, and priorities in a project environment
- Good level of English, both written and spoken
- Willingness to live in Ibiza or Menorca and travel between the islands.
➕ Nice to have
- Experience in O&M; management or service contract management
- Knowledge of industrial automation, SCADA, PLCs, or remote monitoring systems
- Experience coordinating technicians and external contractors
- Knowledge of HSE procedures and risk assessment methodologies
- First Aid – Primeros Auxilios training
- Fire Fighting – Lucha contra Incendios training
Location: Ibiza/Minorca -regular presence at project sites and Willingness to travel between the islands is required.
