- The Individual Contractor will ensure that metal carpentry services are fully restored and continuously available, enabling UNGSC to maintain safe, compliant, and functional infrastructure, safety systems, and facilities throughout the contract period.

- Expected duration**Responsibilities**: - The United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) provides critical Supply Chain, Geospatial, Information and Telecommunications Technologies services and Training to all Secretarial Entities Peacekeeping and Special Political Missions, Agencies, Funds and programmes of the UN system worldwide. This position is located in the infrastructure team of Campus Support Unit, within Central Service, at UNGSC, Brindisi, Italy. The individual contractor will work under the general supervision of the Chief Campus Support Unit. Under the overall supervision of the Chief, Campus Support Unit, the individual contractor - metal carpenter will perform the following functions: Fabrication and installation - Fabricate and install metal supports for the electrical bus bars in Building B to address a structural deficiency identified during the DC02 incident. - Fabricate safety brackets for new LED lighting in SCS warehouses. - Fabricate metal supports for the replacement of faulty solar panels in the Building B area. Data center and Building 261 - Dismantle the old data center structure and assess the metal railing profile of the damaged entrance door in Building 261. - Support the dismantling of prefabricated units previously used as a farmer database inside Building 261.
Building 3 (Museum Project) - Provide metal carpentry support for internal modification works, including opening and closing of internal doors and construction of gypsum board partitions. Maintenance and campus support Provide on-demand metal carpentry services for delayed and ongoing maintenance, including: - Repair and adjustment of internal and external doors and windows (frames, hinges, locks, handles) in Buildings 254, 228, 215, 94, 135, 20, 163, 281, 282, and 280;
- Corrective maintenance of emergency exit doors and safety-related metal components;
- Repair and reinforcement of railings and handrails in Building B;
- Fixing and cleaning of metal gutters in Buildings 19, 215, and 20, including works linked to water infiltration;
- Support to other trades during minor refurbishment and corrective maintenance works;
- Ad hoc metal works arising from wear and tear, safety hazards, or minor incidents. All activities will be limited to non-structural metal works and coordinated with Campus Support teams in compliance with UNGSC safety and operational standards.

- English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in oral and written English is required.
