Sales Representative / Sales Manager – Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
Location: Italy (Home Office – Milan / Rome / Bologna, covering customers across Italy)

About the Role
- We are looking for a highly motivated Sales Representative / Sales Manager to drive the growth of our Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) business in Italy. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing customer relationships, and managing the complete sales cycle from lead generation to contract execution.
- This position is suitable for experienced sales professionals with a strong B2B sales background. Candidates with solid sales experience but limited management experience are also encouraged to apply, with clear opportunities for future career progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the Italian BESS market, including C&I; customers, EPC contractors, project developers, utilities, and distribution partners.
- Manage the complete sales process, from prospecting and qualification to proposal preparation, commercial negotiation, contract signing, and payment collection.
- Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers through regular visits and business development activities.
- Monitor the Italian energy storage market, including industry trends, competitors, policies, incentives, and upcoming projects.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including Engineering, Solution Design, Supply Chain, Legal, and Project Management, to prepare technical proposals, tenders, and commercial offers.
- Maintain accurate customer information, sales pipelines, and opportunity updates in the CRM system.
- Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and market feedback to support business planning.
- Represent the company at industry exhibitions, conferences, and customer events when required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Engineering, Energy, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of B2B sales experience , with a proven ability to independently develop customers and close deals.
- Experience in renewable energy, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), solar PV, electrical equipment, power systems, or related industries is highly preferred.
- Strong commercial awareness, negotiation skills, and customer relationship management abilities.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently in a remote sales environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Native-level Italian is mandatory;
Professional working proficiency in English.
- Valid driver's license is required.
- Willingness to travel frequently within Italy (approximately 50–70%) to visit customers and attend industry events.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous sales experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), solar PV, inverters, EV charging, microgrids, or other renewable energy solutions.
- Good understanding of the Italian electricity market, renewable energy regulations, and BESS incentive schemes.
- Technical background with the ability to discuss basic energy storage solutions with customers.
