And you could be part of it. /p pThe Transportation Operations Manager is responsible for managing yard operations in coordination with the site's Dock, Inbound, and Outbound teams to ensure first in, first out (FIFO) processing and mitigate risks of impact on the customer experience. The ideal candidate has experience in transportation operations and excellent project management skills. They have the ability to lead and mentor people, analyze data, and make relevant recommendations in an often ambiguous environment. One of the key responsibilities of this role is to standardize and improve processes while analyzing and eliminating root causes of defects in current systems. This position requires exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence change. /p pThe applicable collective agreement (CCNL) for this role is Logistica, Trasporto Merci e Spedizione. The position is classified at Level 1 or above, depending on the candidate’s skills, competences and experience. /p h3Key job responsibilities /h3 ul lipCollaborate with Site leadership to improve the punctuality of inbound and outbound trucks, as well as safety and customer experience metrics /p /li lipStreamline communication between the Site, the Network Operations Center, and carriers to optimize truck flow in the yard, ensuring on-time arrivals and departures /p /li lipResponsible for reporting yard performance to local Site leadership, identifying root causes of structural issues,



and driving resolution with multiple stakeholders /p /li lipSupport all site safety and compliance programs to ensure a safe working environment for associates in the yard /p /li lipProactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and Lean tool implementation /p /li lipWork within various time constraints to meet critical business needs while measuring and identifying completed activities /p /li lipAbility to develop standard procedures and share best practices with our global transportation operations teams /p /li lipAbility to work some weekends and/or nights as needed (this team provides tactical support to Amazon's logistics network) /p /li /ul h3A day in the life /h3 pYou will be responsible for the motivation, engagement, and performance of your team: /p ul lipYou will ensure the safety of your team by promoting Amazon's health and safety standards. /p /li lipYou will lead cross-functional teams dedicated to solving operational problems. /p /li lipYou will uphold Amazon's high standards for process quality. /p /li lipYou will ensure the accuracy of information and adherence to operational standards. /p /li lipYou will focus on improving and streamlining processes. /p /li lipYou will become fully knowledgeable about the fulfillment center’s key processes and activities. /p /li lipYou will actively participate in sharing and promoting best practices with your colleagues and across the network. /p /li /ul h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul lipBachelor's degree /p /li lipExperience managing teams /p /li lipExperience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including colleagues and leadership /p /li lipExperience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements /p /li lipSpeak, write, and read fluently in Italian /p /li lipSpeak, write, and read fluently in English /p /li lipExperience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
