The Director of Evaluation reports on the evaluation function to UNICEF’s Executive Board in an annual report that includes information on selected evaluations. The Evaluation Office focuses on promoting an enabling environment for evaluation and providing ready access to evaluation information. It also commissions independent corporate evaluations, usually conducted in collaboration with external consultants, and undertakes evaluation capacity development within and outside the organization. /p pUnder the supervision and guidance of the Deputy Director of Evaluation, the Information Associate supports evaluation communication and use through providing a range of procedural, administrative, secretarial, and operational support services, including content development, digital communication, visual communication, multimedia communication and engagement. /p pThe Associate is responsible for conducting these activities in accordance with UNICEF’s mission, rules and procedures. /p h31. Keep the main knowledge exchange platforms of UNICEF’s evaluation function updated /h3 ul liIdentify user needs and research relevant information; /li liContinuously update and maintain the UNICEF Evaluation Reports Database (external), Evaluation website (external), Evaluation SharePoint site (internal), Community of Practice in SharePoint and in Viva Engage (internal), and UNICEF Evaluation pages on LinkedIn, X, BlueSky and YouTube, and future platforms. /li /ul h32. Support the development, planning and execution of initiatives to strengthen uptake of evaluation evidence /h3 ul liMaintain a roster of copyeditors, translators, designers and photographers to support the publication of evaluation evidence, including supporting distribution of publications through agreed channels; /li liEnsure evaluation products are properly copy-edited, well-designed and disseminated through innovative channels; /li liProvide research support including document searches, preparing bibliographies, compiling reports or background materials. /li /ul h33. Support to monitoring and reporting on uptake of evaluation evidence /h3 ul liResearch, analyze, verify and synthesize information on best practices and lessons learnt to support the utility of evaluation; /li liIn close collaboration with the supervisor, help design a monitoring framework of uptake and use of evaluation evidence. /li /ul pThe Information Associate will perform other related duties and assignments as and when required.
