important international Cybersecurity project , we are looking for a
Cybersecurity Specialist / Application Security Engineer – Akamai WAF
with solid experience in web application security and hands-on expertise in the management and configuration of
Akamai Web Application Firewall
solutions.
The role will be performed in a
full remote
working model and will involve close collaboration with international technical and security teams.
A good command of
English is mandatory , as the resource will operate on a daily basis in an international environment.
Main Responsibilities
Management and configuration of
Akamai Web Application Firewall (WAF)
solutions.
Definition, implementation and tuning of security policies.
Analysis and management of false positives, anomalies and security events.
Protection of web applications and APIs from common cyber threats.
Monitoring and troubleshooting of WAF-related issues.
Support in the analysis of web vulnerabilities and application security risks.
Collaboration with Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Development and Application teams.
Support in the management of security rules, signatures and protection mechanisms.




Contribution to the continuous improvement of web application security controls.
Requirements
At least
3 years of professional experience
in Cybersecurity, Application Security or a similar role.
Hands-on experience with
Akamai WAF .
Good knowledge of
Web Application Security
principles.
Knowledge of the
OWASP Top 10
and common web vulnerabilities.
Experience in WAF policy management, rule tuning and application protection.
Experience in troubleshooting and security analysis activities.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work autonomously and collaborate with distributed international teams.
Professional working proficiency in English .
Experience with the following technologies will be considered a plus:
Akamai App & API Protector
Kona Site Defender
API Security
Bot Management
DDoS Protection
SIEM and security monitoring tools
Availability Required
The role is
full remote .
Availability to start
ASAP
is required.
The project will be carried out in an
international environment , therefore daily communication in English is expected. xjncmbx
Compensation
Gross annual salary range:
€28,000 – €38,000 , depending on experience and technical seniority.
