Overview
As a Solution Development Engineer, you will craft technically sound, commercially competitive solutions for modernization and lifecycle projects in automated intralogistics. You will work closely with customers, sales, project managers and engineering teams to translate needs into practical designs that boost performance and reliability. This role supports service delivery and business development across regional and global teams, contributing to standardization and continuous improvement. You will join a Customer Service team and help shape lifecycle solutions with impact across installations.

Responsabilità
Develop technical solutions for modernization, retrofit, expansion and lifecycle management projects for automated material handling and intralogistics systems
Analyze customer requirements and define solution concepts with internal stakeholders and SMEs
Prepare technical and commercial proposals including scope, budgets and project plans
Support Customer Service and Sales in identifying and developing business opportunities
Coordinate cross-functional activities across mechanical, electrical, controls, software, installation and project management
Assist with technical documentation, layouts and proposal materials
Contribute to project execution planning aligned with customer expectations and milestones
Evaluate technical alternatives,
request quotations and support cost calculations
Identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability and maintainability
Contribute to new service offerings and continuous improvement initiatives
Collaborate with regional and global teams to promote standardization and best practices
Ensure compliance with quality, safety and process standards
Requisiti fondamentali
University degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or Automation Engineering with a focus on logistics (or equivalent)
Experience in solution development, project engineering, service engineering, technical sales support or similar roles within industrial automation or intralogistics
Understanding of automated systems and industrial equipment including mechanical, electrical and control concepts
Ability to translate customer needs into practical and cost-effective technical solutions
Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and international environments
High level of ownership, customer focus and result orientation
Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
Fluent written and spoken English (additional languages are a plus)
